Privacy Policy
This is a working draft. Pocket Femboy is still being built, and this page may change before launch — the date above is the current revision.
This policy explains what personal information Pocket Femboy collects when you use the Pocket Femboy app and the website at pocketfemboy.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. "Pocket Femboy", "we", and "us" mean Pocket Femboy, which operates Pocket Femboy from Pennsylvania, United States.
The short version
- Pocket Femboy is for adults 18 and over.
- Your conversations, and the details characters remember about you, are kept until you delete them or your account.
- To write replies, we send parts of your conversation to AI providers that generate text for us.
- When you delete your account, it's pending for 14 days, and signing back in restores it. After that, your account and data are permanently deleted.
- We don't sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
Account information
Your email address, sign-in details, and your birthdate, which you give us to confirm you're 18 or older.
If the birthdate you enter shows you're under 18, we don't create an account. We keep the birthdate you entered, a random identifier the app stores on your device, and a support reference number, so the block stays in place until your 18th birthday and so we can review it if you tell us the date was entered by mistake. We don't collect your name, email address, or anything else about you or your device in that case.
Your conversations
The messages you send to characters, the replies they send you, and when each was sent. That includes messages a character sends on its own.
What characters remember
So characters can remember you, our systems automatically pick out details from your conversations, such as your name, interests, routines, plans, and people you mention, and save them to your account. We also keep the state of your relationship with each character, such as how well they know you.
Conversations can include sensitive details you choose to share, such as your sexual orientation, health, or mental health. We use them only to run Pocket Femboy for you, and they're deleted with your account.
Voice
If you use voice, the app asks for microphone access. Your speech is turned into text by your phone's built-in speech recognition, provided by Apple or Google, which may process the audio on their servers under their own privacy terms. The text is then handled like any other message. To read replies aloud, the reply text is turned into speech either on your phone or by a text-to-speech provider.
Purchases
Plus and Premium are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple or Google processes your payment. We receive your subscription status and purchase records, never your card details.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device so characters can message you when you're not in the app.
Device and usage information
When the app talks to our servers, we receive technical information such as your IP address, device type, operating system, app version, and error logs. We use it to keep the service running, secure, and within usage limits.
Safety signals
Automated systems check messages for signs of crisis, for content we don't allow, and for signs that a user may be under 18. We keep the results with your account so we can enforce our Community Guidelines.
On our website
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and which signup form you used. While the site is in development, a password page sets a cookie that remembers you've entered the password. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies on the website. Our hosting provider processes basic request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.
2. How we use information
- To run conversations: your message, the recent conversation, relevant remembered details, and the character's details are sent to an AI provider to write a reply.
- To let characters remember you and message you first.
- To manage your account and your subscription.
- To keep people safe: showing crisis resources, blocking prohibited content, and enforcing the 18+ rule.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To prevent abuse, secure the service, and control costs, including per-account usage limits.
- To send emails you asked for, such as waitlist launch news, and important account or policy notices.
- To comply with the law.
Automated decisions
Replies are written by AI, and safety and age checks run automatically. If an automated check restricts your account and you think it got it wrong, email us and we'll review it.
3. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run Pocket Femboy, and only what they need:
- Supabase: database, sign-in, and storage for your account, conversations, and remembered details.
- Railway: hosts the server that handles your messages.
- AI model providers: receive the conversation context needed to write each reply.
- Text-to-speech providers: receive reply text when a voice isn't generated on your phone.
- Apple and Google: app distribution, subscriptions, push notifications, and speech recognition.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website, stores the waitlist, and forwards email sent to support@pocketfemboy.com.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it; to protect someone's safety, including reporting child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children; to enforce our Terms; or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy keeps applying to your information.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.
4. How long we keep it
- While you have an account, we keep your account information, conversations, remembered details, and relationship history until you delete them.
- When you delete your account, it's pending deletion for 14 days. Signing back in during that time restores it. After 14 days, your account and its data are permanently deleted.
- Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove yours or we stop running the waitlist.
5. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account from the app or from our account deletion page.
- Get a copy of your information, or correct something we have wrong, by emailing us.
- Turn off microphone or notification access at any time in your phone's settings.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any of them.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you more rights, such as knowing what we collect, deleting or correcting it, or appealing our decision on your request. Email support@pocketfemboy.com from the address on your account. We'll verify the request and respond within the time the law requires, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights.
6. Security
Information is encrypted in transit between the app, the website, and our servers, and our database provider encrypts stored data. Access to user data is limited to what's needed to run and support the service. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects you, we'll notify you as the law requires.
7. Adults only
Pocket Femboy is not for anyone under 18. We ask for your birthdate before you create an account, and automated systems look for signs that a user may be under 18. If the birthdate you enter is under 18, the app is blocked on your device until your 18th birthday. If you entered it by mistake, email us with the reference number the app shows; we lift the block only after seeing a government-issued ID that shows your date of birth, and we delete the ID once we've checked it. If we believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we restrict or close it and delete its data, except records the law requires us to keep. If you believe a minor is using Pocket Femboy, email support@pocketfemboy.com.
8. Users outside the United States
Pocket Femboy is run from the United States, and your information is processed there. If you use it from another country, your information is transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from yours.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
